Upcoming activities of the AquaBioSens consortium in 2026

3rd Consortium meeting in Southampton

The 3rd AquaBioSens consortium meeting will be held at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) in Southampton, UK, on 6–8 July 2026. On the 6th and 7th AquaBioSens members will present their results and discuss plans for the next experiments, dissemination events and public outreach activities to maximize the project’s impact. On the 8th, the newly developed technologies will be demonstrated in use, using contaminated waters from the Southampton estuary. Some participants will take part in sediment and sea water sample collection using the dedicated NOC scientific research boat. The samples will be processed and analyzed at NOC on prototype sensor devices developed within the framework of the AquaBioSens project.

Webinar with the Marine Shield Cluster alliance towards Monitoring to Remediation

On 23 April 2026, AquaBioSens members will disseminate the results and next steps of the AquaBioSens project to other members of EU-funded projects dedicated to combating water pollution. This will take place within the framework of a webinar organized by the Marine Shield Cluster alliance, to which AquaBioSens is a member, with the specific topic “From monitoring to remediation”.
